- Description
- Around the Three Brothers islands, on the reef terraces the coral cover is almost everywhere very high and diverse. In this scene, cover is high and even where the coral skeletons are dead they have been quickly encrusted by red algae, which are equally important to reef construction. The water here is exceptionally clear, fish populations are high and the reefs appear to be in excellent condition. The area experiences fairly strong water currents which are very likely to be very important to maintaining good condition.
